To renovate or revamp your kitchen: whats the difference and what to expect
If you’ve moved or been living in your home for years, there comes a point when your kitchen might need a facelift or a complete overhaul. So what is the difference between a kitchen re-vamp and a complete kitchen renovation?
WHAT IS A KITCHEN REVAMP?
A kitchen re-vamp revolves around cosmetic changes. It is your kitchen’s upgrade. It involves minor changes that leave a big impact. For example, changing the appliances, light fixtures, updating the flooring, wall paint or tiles. Installing new worktops and kitchen cupboards or use the existing carcasses and just change the doors. You could add an Island. A re-vamp breathes new life into your cooking area without pulling out your kitchen entirely. A kitchen update polishes the kitchen in a more aesthetic manner.
WHAT IS A KITCHEN RENOVATION?
A kitchen renovation includes demolition and construction. It’s a refit that changes the look of things, a rebuild that brings down the structure and builds it up from scratch. A renovation takes a lot more time than a makeover as a kitchen refit involves changes in the layout and structure where you remove the existing kitchen and install a new one.
A kitchen revamps enhances your kitchen’s look, whereas, a renovation plan tears it down to build a new one. We’ve broken it down and given you a step-by-step guide of what to expect during this process.
